Religious Education

At St Thomas, we recognise the importance of teaching human sexuality from a contemporary Catholic perspective. That's why we use the Made in the Image of God (MITIOG) Curriculum to teach human sexuality, which emphasises that we are all uniquely made in God's image. Grounded in Catholic principles, MITIOG fosters a positive and respectful view of oneself and others, empowering students to embrace their growing identity with confidence and dignity.

Our commitment to excellence extends to our religious education program, where we consistently refine and update the Crossways Curriculum to keep it contemporary and relevant. Integrated into every year level, including Preschool, our approach emphasises a comprehensive understanding of our Catholic faith, laying a strong foundation for students' spiritual growth.

A significant day in our school calendar is St Thomas’ Feast Day. This, along with significant events such as Mercy Day, helps our students to strive to instil the values of compassion, service, and social justice in our students. Through immersive learning experiences and school-wide initiatives, students are empowered to make a positive impact in their communities and live out their faith in meaningful ways.

At St Thomas School, we are more than just a school; we are a faith community united by a shared commitment to excellence, integrity, and service. Join us on this journey of discovery as we empower students to flourish spiritually, academically, and socially, rooted in a deep understanding of their Catholic heritage.
