St Thomas School and Preschool welcomes new families to our Catholic community. We aim to support all parents and families who seek a Catholic education for their child.

If you are considering joining our school community there are some things you need to know.

Please note:

  • A separate enrolment form needs to be completed for our Preschool and R – 7 School.
  • Currently there is one intake  at the beginning of each school year for both  preschool and school.

Enrolment Process

Families wishing to join the St Thomas School community need to follow the enrolment process:

  • Contact the school office on 8271 5674 or email info@stg.catholic.edu.au to register your interest with the Registrar.
  • The school will invite you and your child to attend a tour with the Deputy Principal. Tours are held every Tuesday at 9.30am.
  • You can then submit an Application for Enrolment Form and pay the application fee of $50 at the office.
  •  If you are lodging both School and Preschool forms at the same time you will only need to pay $50.
  • The school will invite you and your child to an enrolment interview.
  • A letter of offer with an Acceptance Document is sent, to be signed and returned to the school. A non-refundable $200 deposit will secure your child's enrolment place.

Should you have any further enquiries regarding enrolment please contact the school office or Register your Interest using our online form.

Transition

jh_1340.jpg

The children that attend St Thomas Preschool are fortunate to use the facilities available in both schools, including the School Library, the Mercy Hall and oval.

Transition Visits

We offer 2 classroom visits in Term 4 to assist the child to  tranistion from Preschool to Reception. These sessions take place on Wednesday morning from 9am -10:30am.

The first transition visit will include a parent/caregiver session, where leadership and staff share information about curriculum, community, parish involvement and school uniform.

This is an excellent opportunity to ask questions and meet other new parents.
